Organic Saffron - Safra del Montsec

Magda & Jaume are a young couple of farmers, passionate about returning the traditional organic cultivation of saffron in the land of Montsec 

They work from their 200 year old Masia (farmhouse) in Llimiana , a gorgeous pre- Pyrenean village in Pallars Jussa 

In gloomy October the the bright purple harvest of crocus is picked by hand and then dried by hand over firewood following traditional methods.

These guys are doing back breaking work to produce this amazing, authentic, artisan & organic product and we are absolutely thrilled to be working with such passionate foodies
